ABOUT ME
Hey there! I’m a Video Editor & Video Vision Mentor. Before I started working with online women entrepreneurs crafting their video visions, I was a documentary filmmaker, creating online short films for nonprofits and corporations. I was on the front lines of crafting strategies for how video aligned with their core messages and principles, filming interviews and events, editing their content into meaningful finished videos and finally implementing plans for getting them in front of the right people. The results: Rapid growth of their youtube channel, increased awareness of their cause and mission in the community and jumps in reaching their fundraising goals.
I know that might sound amazing and you’re thinking why did you ever leave? Well, I was $50,000 in student loan debt, living at my parent’s house, and at a job that wasn’t allowing me to be as creative as I knew I could be.
That’s when I knew I had to take a risk to be able to follow my dreams, wipe away my debt, and one day bring financial freedom not just to myself but to my family that supported me all the way. I discovered the online business space and saw that women entrepreneurs were bursting at the seams with meaningful stories and ways that they wanted to serve other people, but they were overwhelmed with the whole notion of video marketing. I decided I needed to help them align their visions for their business with their visions for their videos. They needed exactly what I had been doing for non-profits at my full time job and within a year of side hustling I wiped away half of my debt.
Every person’s story matters. No matter how seemingly small or big, they all have an impact and deserve to be recorded. A storyteller is someone that has the courage to share their experiences and advice with the world in the hopes of changing just one person’s life.
I created a facebook group called the storyteller circle to give women entrepreneurs a safe space to share their stories, to talk about their big why and connect with other like minded people. It’s a space to cut through all of the video marketing noise, take a step back, and really discover your vision for how video will be incorporated into your business in a way that feels responsible, inspiring, and of service to your community. http://bit.ly/thestorytellercircle

Video Vision Mentoring: One on One mentoring for women entrepreneurs that want to create or realign their video visions and strategies to build, reach, and transform their tribes through meaningful connections and relationships.
Video Editing: I’ll give your videos the eye of a professional editor and work with you to refine your message and get your videos out in front of those that need it.
The Dana Rivera Films Show: I release videos twice a month on my youtube channel that feature storytelling & editing quick tips, lessons on online video strategy, and tutorials on some of the techy video stuff.

- I’m a Disney & Pixar freak. Seriously, my favorite sneakers have Mickey’s face on them
- I believe petite women are powerful! because I’m one of them
- I love chocolate and wine
- I love & absolutely adore Italian and cuban/puerto rican food.

- I lived in London for five months and can’t wait to visit again
